Understanding Person Centredness

This workshop will focus on providing participants with an introductory understanding of Person Centredness and its potential to enhance lives.
Participants will attain knowledge in the background and philosophy of Person Centredness and develop skills to apply it in their daily professional practice:
- Define the Person Centred Approach
- Articulate the values and qualities that underpin Person Centredness
- Explain the skills of Person Centredness
- Specify the components of a Person Centred Culture for an organisation and the people being supported.
Anyone interested in learning about the fundamentals of Person centredness. This is a good introduction into the CDS suite of Person Centredness workshops.
About the Facilitator:
Ray Murray is an educational psychologist who works as a Disability Consultant and Facilitator. For the last five years he worked in Ireland teaching Person Centredness to disability organisations assisting them to transform their services. He also provided professional supervision to Early Intervention Specialists/Educators. Ray has delivered the Facilitation Skills course at Trinity College, Dublin and in Cork, Galway and London.
