About Dr Seth Keller

Dr Keller’s extensive clinical and organisational experience includes:

  • Co-chair, National Task Group on Intellectual Disabilities and Dementia Practices
  • Chair, Special Interest Group Adult IDD, American Academy of Neurology
  • Past President, American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry

Dr Keller’s presentation will explore:

  • the history of ageing with those with intellectual developmental disability (IDD)
  • a discussion on how healthcare practitioners and those that support individuals with IDD should watch out for functional decline and various diseases
  • early onset Alzheimer’s in adults with Down syndrome will specially be reviewed, on how it is assessed, diagnosed, and treated.

Panel Discussion

Following Dr Keller’s presentation, there will be a panel discussion, including panellists:

  • Clinical Professor Vivienne Riches (Centre for Disability Studies)
  • Professor Rafat Hussain (University of New England/Australian National University)
