Jessica Buhne

Jessica’s role at CDS is the National Disability Coordination Officer (NDCO) for Sydney Region. This position is funded by the Federal Department Education and Training until July 2017. The NDCO Program works strategically to assist people with disability access and participate in tertiary education and subsequent employment, through a national network of regionally based NDCOs.

Jessica is also involved in the uni 2 Beyond program which enables people with intellectual disabilities to participate in university academic and social life.

Prior to joining CDS, Jessica worked with people with disability and their families in the areas of employment, capacity building and advocacy. This has included working with families to develop their capacity and confidence around self-directing supports for the genuine interests and aspirations of their family member with disability. Jessica is passionate about people with disability having the same opportunities and experiences as people without disability and being valued members and contributors of their community. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Social Science, Diploma in Business (Legal Services), Diploma in Counselling, Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher.
