Why did you join uni 2 beyond?

EllieI joined uni 2 beyond to experience how it is to be at uni without the stress of assessments and exams. I thought that it could be for good me to try new things and take part in something that was outside of the box. |

AmritaIt was always my dream to go to university and I told my dad that I really wanted to go because people in my family went to university. |
The University experience

EllieI enjoyed the face-to-face interaction with uni 2 beyond students and mentors but also other students in the classes. I studied Film and Diet and Nutrition. I found them interesting and enjoyed both subjects. In Diet and Nutrition, I enjoyed how it makes you think about what you eat before a big sports game or regatta/rowing race. And it made me more aware of what I am eating. |

BruceThe experience at uni has being quite good so far, I could go outside my house and meet people that I would not have met before. I liked doing experiments in the lab during my physics classes and I also enjoyed listening to my law classes because I learnt a lot about how the laws were made and the law system in Australia. |

BruceI improved my social skills, like talking to people that I do not know. I am a bit more confident in approaching people and talking to them. |

AmritaI got to do a uni 2 beyond internship at MI Engineers, everyone there was very supportive and very friendly. I did a lot of office administration tasks on the computer, which is something I really like to do. |
Tips for future students

EllieMy tip is to select the subjects that you are really interested in, something that you really want to learn because it makes your experience more enjoyable. Also, get familiar with campus, have a walk with a friend on campus before the start of semester to get familiar with the place. |

JaredIf your classes are in the morning, make sure you get a good night sleep! Also, look for clubs and societies you are interested in joining later in the semester so that when you get into the program you can find them during the Orientation Day. |
