About Dan
Dan Carey is a Research and Inclusion Officer with CDS. She has previously worked with the NSW Department of Education and a range of private organisations, bringing extensive experience in designing, leading, and delivering educational and community projects across the fields of primary education, outdoor learning, and the arts. Her practice is grounded in disability-affirming and trauma-informed principles, with a focus on inclusion, belonging, and creative, relational approaches to learning and community engagement.
At CDS, Dan contributes to projects applying creative and co-design methodologies to inclusive research and systemic change. Outside of CDS, she is an award-winning writer and multidisciplinary artist and leads a nature-based creative adventure business in the Blue Mountains.
She is currently completing a Master of Autism and Neurodiversity Studies.
