About Cerys
Cerys started working at CDS in September 2025 as a Project Officer in the Clinical team. Cerys has a background in Intellectual Disability Nursing having completed an Undergraduate degree in Registered Nursing (Learning Disabilities) at Northumbria University Newcastle, UK in 2019. Following this Cerys went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Business with a focus on Entrepreneurship at Northumbria University Newcastle, UK.
Since qualifying as a Nurse in 2019 Cerys has worked across various clinical settings including Community Learning Disabilities nursing teams, Forensic hospitals, Community Mental Health teams and Psychiatric Liaison all within the UK. Since moving to Australia in 2023 Cerys has worked as an Inclusion Officer for the National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health. Cerys is very passionate about improving health outcomes and health systems for people with Intellectual Disability. She has a keen interest in quality improvement and has been involved in various projects throughout her clinical roles.
