About Kate
Kate has practised as a speech pathologist for over 25 years, across which time she has worked in the disability sector across clinical, clinical leadership and management positions. This has included roles across rural, remote, regional and urban settings in NSW and the UK. Kate is a passionate advocate for evidence informed, person-centred, holistic approaches to supporting people with disability, their families and communities. She has combined her experience across the disability sector with generalist services and specific trauma treatment services within the state child protection agency. Kate has been involved in education and training of speech pathologists and speech pathology students for many years.
In her spare time, Kate plays netball, has started strength training and loves some downtime watching cooking, gardening or home renovation shows.
