Project Summary

We are developing guidelines to do research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with intellectual disabilities in a culturally safe and appropriate way. The guidelines will be based on information we collect from doing consultations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have intellectual disability, or who have family who have intellectual disability. 

Project Aim

The aim of this project is to find out how to do research with First Nations people who have intellectual disability in way that is safe and respectful.

How are we Doing It?

We are doing yarning sessions to hear about your experiences. If you are a First Nations person who has intellectual disability, or your family member has intellectual disability and you’d like to talk to us, please get in contact with Wayne or Erin.
