Supporting the Health and Function of People with Intellectual Disability who are Ageing or Frail

May 3, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$135.00

About the Workshop

The life expectancy of people with intellectual disability is increasing.  However, many people with intellectual disability have signs of ageing and frailty at a younger age than others in the population.  In this workshop, participants will learn to recognise signs of ageing and frailty in people with intellectual disability and be aware of the associated health and functional outcomes.  They will also learn how to support people as they age to maintain their health and daily activities and therefore facilitate ageing in place.
