The Centre for Disability Studies (CDS) has a rewarding new opportunity for an Inclusive University Program Coordinator to lead the delivery of our award-winning uni 2 beyond program. This is a full-time, 12-month parental leave replacement position based on campus at the University of Sydney, Camperdown.
- Full time (5 days per week, 38 hours)

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Inclusive University Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of uni 2 beyond, a social inclusion initiative supporting people with intellectual disability to participate in university life as audit (non-enrolled) students.
Key activities undertaken within the uni 2 beyond program include:

Student recruitment, onboarding and transition support into university life

Supporting students to set and achieve individual goals

Facilitating participation in learning, campus activities, events and clubs alongside peers

Recruiting, training and supporting volunteer mentors

Building collaborative relationships with academic and professional staff

Managing NDIS service agreements, compliance, invoicing and record-keeping
-
Promoting inclusive practices across the university community

Supporting grant applications and coordinating fundraising initiatives
The Inclusive University Program Coordinator will:

Coordinate daily program operations with guidance and support
-
Promote and recruit new students into the program

Support students’ goal setting and engagement across campus life
-
Recruit, train, roster and support volunteer mentors

Liaise closely with lecturing and professional staff to support student learning and engagement

Organise and monitor student NDIS Service Agreements, maintain compliance and accurate documentation

Maintain uni 2 beyond social media and website content
-
Work collaboratively with faculty and key stakeholders to support the University’s diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives

Contribute to grant and funding proposals and fundraising activities
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
-
Minimum Bachelor degree in Health, Social Science/Disability or equivalent
-
Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)

Minimum 12 months’ experience supporting people with intellectual disability

Experience in community development and/or inclusion initiatives

Experience in project management and coordination

Experience within the higher education sector

Strong organisational and administrative skills
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively
