Anxiety and Depression Workshop; Building Capacity to Better Assist Adults with a Dual Disability

What is it?: This workshop aims to build the skills and capacity of disability support practitioners (DSPs) to provide mental health support to people who have an intellectual disability and who are also experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression. It will cover topics such as vulnerabilities for anxiety and depression, clinical presentations, assessment, diagnosis and intervention strategies and supports that all DSP’s can implement. The topics will be supported with case studies and opportunities to apply the information to the practitioner’s own work context.

 

Delivery: 3 x 2 hour or 1 x day class-based training (can be online or in-person)
