About Kate

Kate has an extensive work history as a speech pathologist working within the disability sector across rural and regional communities in NSW. She has combined her direct work with people with communication and swallowing support needs with leadership roles through which she has contributed to the development of resources, training and government consultation to inform practice improvements that are person-centred and co-designed with people living with disability.

Kate also has a clinical interest in complex trauma and how this can impact children’s development when experienced in the childhood years. This interest has resulted in Kate contributing to education resources and training through a range of allied health, mental health and government sector peak bodies. Kate is known for developing and delivering training and education events that are engaging and directly applicable to people’s everyday experiences.
