Research and Development Pillar
CDS research and innovation pillar undertakes ethical research and evaluation activities to better inform policy and practice and identify evidence-based practices. We collaborate with government, industry partners and people with disabilities and our translational research is designed to improve quality of life with and for people with intellectual disabilities. Our research team has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and our Inclusive Research Network (IRN) conducts research with people and for people with intellectual disabilities. Areas of research interest include active support, ageing and disability, assessment and classification of support needs, inclusive education, Inclusive research, employment, health care access and utilisation, housing, homelessness, human rights, NDIS, quality of life and transition.
