About Robin

Dr Robin Way has been a part of the disability sector in Australia for all of her life. Her sister was born with cerebral palsy and her parents established The Spastic Centre of NSW with other families desperate for answers to their children’s disabilities. Robin grew up in this first parent run organisation in the world which continues to be a world leader in exploring education, treatment, employment options, moving people from institutions into independent living options.

During a time of great change in the disability sector over the past 34 years, Robin has worked widely across the disability sector at national and state levels. She was the Chair of ACROD NSW, a Director of the Spastic Centre / Cerebral Palsy Alliance and as CEO of Residential Care, now Community Connections Australia she has played major roles in policy development, advocacy and service delivery options across the country. She has a Master of Management and a PhD from UTS in Management.
