About Sharon

Sharon Bailey has Barkindji heritage and is a proud and passionate advocate for First Nations people. She has over 20 years’ experience working in Community Services and Health. She has successfully implemented disability services in remote Aboriginal communities and has worked throughout the Torres Strait Islands.

Sharon is also a board member of SARAA (South Australian Rainbow Advocacy Alliance) and a passionate advocate in the LGBTIQA+ community.

She currently works as the National Disability Coordination Officer for Region 24 (South Eastern, South Australia)
