Elicia Ford

Elicia Ford, National Disability Coordination Officer (NDCO) for Illawarra and South East NSW, is a community development and education specialist with substantial experience developing inclusive practice to support social, educational and vocational outcomes for people with diverse learning needs. She values creativity, collaboration and connectedness and is particularly passionate about enabling people who are experiencing disadvantage to reach their unique potential through social inclusion, education and employment.

Prior to her current role, Elicia has worked in schools and tertiary education, community mental health services, and held senior positions in some of Australia’s leading charities. She is ahead of the trend for the New Work Order, having held 15 positions across 8 industries before the age of 30 in sectors as diverse as financial services, education, health and wellbeing, environmental services, arts and culture, sales and marketing, hospitality, tourism and retail.

In her spare time Elicia indulges her strong commitment to social justice principles by sitting on boards, reference and advisory groups, and enlisting her daughter as a volunteer to coordinate community events.
